Let’s start 2023 off with a bang, shall we? Call me indecisive, but I’ve decided to bring back TT’s Top Three, which was previously titled “What’s Moving Me Lately” (you can read parts one and two here) and before that was TT’s Top Three again. I found the name a bit juvenile before, but what can I say? It’s my nickname; it’s me. And these are my top picks!
I know what you’re here for, so I’ve decided to keep it short, sweet, and to-the-point in a simple list format with a couple sentences on why I made my selection. Hopefully you can find a few things to add to your top list, too! Speaking of, please for the love of everything good, add a comment with some of your favorite things too. I need the recommendations! You can do so through the button below:
Memor Studio Phone Case: As soon as I saw my chic friend Sarah post about these, I knew I had to have one. They cost a pretty penny, but are completely custom works-of-art.
Ponsont Paper Incense: THESE! I cannot get enough. We purchased ours from The Green Ray here in Nashville and have the Rosa Rossa scent. I am addicted! They are so fragrant and delicious.
Dogs of Summer by Andrea Abreu: I finished this in a day. Following two childhood friends and their mundane, daily life in Tenerife, Spain, Dogs of Summer is brutal, honest, and utterly unputdownable. (Note: I mean it when I say it’s brutal. This book is highly graphic and likely won’t be for everyone). I agree with the publisher when they state it’s My Brilliant Friend meets Blue is the Warmest Color.
SOS by SZA: Need I say more? My favorites so far include: “Kill Bill” (obviously), “Low”, “Snooze”, “Ghost in the Machine”, “Nobody Gets Me”, “Conceited”, “Special” and “Too Far”.
Digital Planning: I’m an iPad girl! There I said it! I can’t get enough of Goodnotes and digital planning. Sam and I recently set our 2023 budgets using this Budget + Finance planner and we didn’t even murder each other after!
5 a.m. yoga and a true-to-me morning routine: Never did I think I would say I am an honest advocate for a 5 a.m. routine, but I’ve been waking up for yoga at this hour three days a week and I get the hype. There’s something about the quiet moments where all you have to focus on is nourishing your soul.
The Wild Unknown Archetypes Deck by Kim Krans: Holy shit, you guys. This deck is rocking my world. It’s comprised of 78 cards featuring archetypes or universal symbols shared deep within history and our psyche. I like using them to go deeper into my journaling practice or for analyzing dreams I may have had the night before, and my dreams have been gnarly lately. These cards just hit a bit differently.
WITHIN: A Self-Reflection Journal: In 2023, I believe in shameless self-promotion. It’d be mildly nauseating if it weren’t the space I use every day without fail to capture my innermost thoughts and revelations. Use code: “LEADWITHINTUITION” for 20% off your order the entire month of January.
Amber Oil: Long story short: I used to buy this amber oil for $57, but found this one at Whole Body for a fraction of the cost, like $11 dollars fraction of the cost. They are the same thing! I layer the amber oil underneath an ambroxan-forward scent (like Molecule 01 or I Don’t Know What by D.S. & Durga) before I put on my actual fragrance for the day. Just trust me on this one.
Afternoon pick-me-up walks: I’m trying for the 10,000 steps a day, but for me it’s much more about the fresh air, being outside, and the newfound energy I receive.
Dragon Diffusion bag: I received this bag for Christmas and it is every bit worth the hype. It’s a new go-to.
Nu Swim Tee: Another Christmas present and a recommendation from Subrina at are you wearing that? It truly is the perfect white tee.
Art by Les Priest: I think one of the bravest things you can do is have the conviction to make your art and share it with the world. My friend Les has been creating so much beautiful art recently; every piece is so unique and special. He is certainly carving out a unique style and gifted us a beautiful piece to have on display in our main room. It is the center-point of conversation always and a bright spot in our lives.
My Nespresso Aeroccino: What did I ever do before a milk frother? Sure, I had a handheld one, but it pales in comparison. You should see the matcha lattes and mistos I’ve been whipping up! I look like a damn barista. It helps I scooped mine from the thrift store in box for $13. Sam thinks that’s disgusting, but I say it’s a great deal.
Microneedling: I’ve been seeing Srisha over at Complexion Nashville to get my skin in tip-top shape. Once I turned 30, doing the whole “anti-aging” thing in a way that felt good to me was important. Microneedling has been a beautiful, mild way to improve my texture and overall tone. I’m going to do a post all about intentional aging, so stay tuned!
Bilogique Recherche Lotion P50: Speaking of skincare items worth the hype, this is it!
Everybody: A Book About Freedom by Olivia Laing: This is another recommendation from readers over at are you wearing that? and not my typical go-to. I’ve been listening to it on my afternoon walks and find everything Laing details so fascinating. On one hand, it disrupts a lot of my current opinions on bodies. And on the other, I think it’s necessary to continuously disrupt our current opinions in favor of finding a version that rings truer for us.
Oui the People Razor: I also received this razor for Christmas from my in-laws and was a bit nervous at first (despite asking for it). But now that I live the single-blade razor life, I can’t go back. It’s ultra-sensitive and honestly so chic. Plus, a great way to support Black and female-owned businesses.
Lypo-spheric Vitamin C: What can I say? This stuff works! I took a pack every day after returning from extended time with family and didn’t come down with so much as a sniffle.
Longer nails: I was a short-nail stan forever, but have recently converted to a longer, almond-shape. Despite hating the way they feel when I type, I am loving all the possibilities for nail art.
⊹ If you liked this post, I also have an Amazon Storefront (which in full transparency allows me to generate commission when you shop my links). I update this space frequently with items I recommend.
Love a top 20! Can’t wait to check out this entire list.
+ I’m so glad you love your Memor case. It’s so special 🤍
