I don’t know about you, but I’ve been loving creating so much fragrance content on TikTok, Substack, and Instagram. I had a dear friend from high school DM me after sharing my favorite skin scents over on Instagram saying, “Obsessed because you have been curating and building a scent collection since TEENAGE years!! Baby T is beaming.”
It was really an a-ha moment for me. Lately, my head has been so down, focused on continuing to produce content and not get discouraged by number of likes or engagement. Because of this, I haven’t really had time to overthink what it is I’m creating, which in turn forces me to create all of the things I like or find interesting, regardless of if they land for other people. Seeing you all so excited about something that began with sample vials of Chanel No. 5 in my mom’s bathroom in elementary school is really beautiful affirmation that the Internet can be a place where you create in a way that feels inspiring to you, even if it doesn’t directly correlate to quantifiable engagement.
All that being said, I am PUMPED about fragrance right now, and happy so many of you are too. If you follow along on Instagram, you’ll have seen I ordered 30 (yes, thirty!) samples from Lucky Scent after pouring over their TikTok for hours. There’s a few brands I really have my eye on I wanted to share with you in case you have the fragrance bug too. Let me know if you’ve tried any of them!
Régime des Fleurs—My favorite shop in Nashville, The Green Ray, just got this line in-store and I am dying to sniff. Perhaps most notable for their partnership with Chloë Sevigny, Little Flower, Alia Raza created a brand where “instead of a political and social system ruled by force, we imagine a world of nature, culture and beauty.” It’s a world I’d like to live in and quite frankly smell like. You can bet your sweet ass I’ll be in TGR this weekend sniffing through which are my favorites.
Snif—I have heard only wonderful things about this brand from Emilia (a.k.a. @professorperfume), especially her Vow Factor collaboration with the brand. Everything is well designed, but what I really love about the company is the price. For me, I love having diversity in my collection, but can’t always justify spending upwards of $200 a bottle on fragrance. Snif seems like the best of both worlds. I may have to order a few of their fragrances and candles to give it a proper go. If I do, I’ll let you know what I think!
Fine’ry—On the topic of affordable perfume, another brand I’m really interested in is Target’s in-house line, mostly because I’ve heard they make dupes for some of everyone’s favorites. Think: MFK Baccarat Rouge, Le Labo Another 13, and Tom Ford’s Soleil Blanc. I’m in Target all the time for other things I don’t need, so I’m sure I’ll see for myself sooner rather than later.
Pleasing—Did you know Harry Styles founded a perfume line because it was news to me? I love the packaging and I’m so intrigued at how they wear. If you know my scent profile, you know Rivulets is top of my list, with Bright, Hot coming in a close second.
Maison Crivelli—I’ve seen so many established perfume reviewers talk about this brand. I once saw a video where someone said Iris Malikhan is the ultimate cool girl scent that smells like “generation wealth” 😂 I laugh, but I mean who doesn’t want to smell like that?!
Until next time, happy sniffing! x
